Make and Takes From Our September Event

Our Make & Take projects are intended to highlight new product.  Check out these 10 great projects along with ideas for marketing them to your customers.

First up is a pair of Halloween cards 

• The card on the left is by Brenda Moen featuring the Jar of Haunts stamp set.
  be sure to point out to customers how Stampin'UP! coordinates products. There are currently 3 stamp sets that all coordinate with the Jars framelits.
• The card on the right was designed by Rachel Durtschi. Rachel used the Chalk Marker to highlight the spider web and took Pumpkin Pie Ink pad direct to paper to get the look of a pumpkin.
  If you're looking for techniques to show to customers then play with this direct to paper technique. Using brown ink can give a great woodgrain look.

 

Next is a pair of pretty fall cards

• Jana Secord's gorgeous fall foliage card features the Totally Trees Stamp Set
  The Totally Trees set is very versatile. You get everything:  deciduous trees, an evergreen tree and even a palm tree!
• Rachel Durtschi's fall card is so quick and easy: a piece of coordinating ribbon tied around a piece of what looks like Designer Paper . . . but its not DSP. She stamped the background using the Paisleys and Posies stamp set. Stamping your own "DSP" is a fun idea, especially useful if your customer plans to mass produce a card and is concerned about having to buy lots of paper. Its also a great way to show them another use for the small stamps.

 

The Fall 2016 catalog has lots of fun new coordinating dies and punches and stamp sets.

• Joyce Hall's Reindeer card features the Cookie Cutter punch and Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set.  The cookie cutter stamp sets and punch would be perfect to feature at a kids event or Mom and Me craft event.
• Tina Petko's Card showcases Jar of Cheer, another set that coordinates with the Jars Framelits. Tina also used the Swirly Scribbles dies to make the blue snow on the bottom of the card. This is a nice way to show all-year use for a die set that might not be thought of as a winter set.
• Yvon Hamas's beautiful pine cone card features the Pretty Pines dies and Christmas Pines stamp set. Yvon's draped ribbon on this card lets you show your customers a non-typical way to use ribbon on a card.

  

These next 2 cards both show what you can do with a hole

• Rachel Durtschi's sweet little ornament was die cut with the Merry Tags die set. The die cuts the tree shape so the green is a piece of paper showing through the hole. This is a fun coloring trick to show your customers.
• Judy Arawinko used this card to teach us a modified Iris Fold.  The hole here is from the Peaceful Pines dies set. As we look forward to spring you might consider doing this technique with your customers using a star or heart shape.

 

This last card is a z-fold

• Doreen Viking taught us how to make this z-fold card with the Seasonal Bells stamp and punch bundle. This is a very popular card design right now, you see this lay-out almost daily on Stampin Connection, Pinterest and SplitCoast Stampers.  Its pretty easy and would make a nice "wow" card for your customers.
